Pennine Recruitment is recruiting a Night Shift Supervisor for a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds, England. The role is full-time and permanent, with a night shift Monday to Thursday 18:30–06:30 and starting pay of £17 per hour.

You will oversee the night shift, supervise the production team, operate machinery, ensure quality, manage manpower, and enforce health and safety, with handovers to the Day Shift Supervisor and reporting to management.

• Strong understanding of production processes and machinery.

• Solid knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the night shift.
• Supervising and supporting the night shift production team.

• Ensuring products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Allocating manpower and delegating tasks across the shift.
• Ensuring staff work efficiently, safely and correctly.
• Carrying out basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Completing accurate handovers with the Day Shift Supervisor.
• Reporting staff performance, production or machinery issues.
• Taking responsibility for site and facilities security during the night shift.

Pennine Recruitment, acting as a recruitment Agency, are delighted to be recruiting for a Night Shift Supervisor to join an established manufacturing business on a full-time, permanent basis.

Starting pay rate - £17ph

Working Hours:

• Night shift - Monday to Thursday 18.30 to 06.30.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the night shift
• Supervising and supporting the night shift production team
• Operating production machinery and maintaining a strong understanding of production processes
• Ensuring products are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards
• Effectively allocating manpower and delegating tasks across the shift
• Ensuring all staff work efficiently, correctly and safely
• Carrying out basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting where required
• Ensuring all health & safety procedures and company policies are followed
• Completing effective handovers with the Day Shift Supervisor
• Reporting any staff performance, production or machinery issues to management
• Taking responsibility for the security of the site and facilities throughout the night shift

To be successful, you will:

• Have previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Have a strong understanding of production processes and machinery
• Be confident managing and motivating a team
• Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
• Have good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Have a strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Be reliable, responsible and able to remain calm under pressure
• Have good communication skills and be confident liaising with management
• Be flexible and willing to support the business when required
