Job summary

CV Technical Limited is seeking a Night Shift Production Supervisor to lead a small team on the night shift at a busy UK manufacturing site. The role involves hands-on supervision, supporting machine operation and ensuring production on the shop floor runs smoothly.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in manufacturing, a mechanical aptitude, and experience with forklift operations. The position includes a 45-hour week and shift-based work from 6pm to 6am.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' supervisory experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience operating machines within a production environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence around machinery.
• FLT experience.
• Able to lead a small team and manage the shop floor on a night shift.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 3–4 staff.
• Ensure production targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Implement and maintain Health & Safety standards across the shift.
• Complete shift handovers and production paperwork.
• Monitor and develop KPIs and performance.
• Support machine operation and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Carry out basic mechanical work on production machinery.
• Ensure the shift runs efficiently and safely.
• Train and develop team members.
• Work closely with other shifts to ensure smooth handovers.

Night Shift Production Supervisor

We're recruiting for a Night Shift Production Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation, taking responsibility for a small team and ensuring the smooth running of production throughout the night shift.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone who has previously worked as a Machine Operator or Production Operative and has progressed into a supervisory position. You'll be responsible for leading the team while also getting involved with machinery and supporting production on the shop floor.

The Role
