Job summary

Bury-based steel fabrication role requiring experienced fabricators/plate workers. You will work on complex structures, reading engineers drawings and setting up jobs from drawings. The position offers permanent, long-term opportunities with significant overtime potential and a focus on safety.

Hours are 7pm to 4:45am Monday to Thursday, with Friday through Sunday as overtime days. Basic pay starts at £24.16 per hour plus overtime; conducive to progression in a thriving metal fabrication company.

Qualifications

  • Time served steel fabricator/plater; apprentice trained / NVQ 3.
  • Competent in working from technical drawings; set ups and mark out for jigs.
  • Able to use hand tools and burning equipment; able to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Work from engineers' drawings on complex fabrications.
  • Adhere to health & safety practices and wear PPE at all times.
  • Set up jobs and mark out for jigs; work alone or as part of a team.

4 nights!

£24.16 basic plus overtime at 1.5 and X2

Hours are 7pm to 4.45am Monday to Thursday.

Friday, Sat and Sundays are all overtime days.

I require a number of Steel fabricators/platers for a thriving company based in Bury, Greater Manchester.

My client has won awards for their work and are highly regarded worldwide.

I was fortunate to work for the biggest structural steel company in Europe.

Working on some iconic projects throughout the UK and other parts of the world.

Now the opportunity is there for you to do the same and work on some of the biggest and best projects.

You will enhance your skills, have pride knowing your working on multi million pound projects. Challenging yourself each day working on complex fabrications.

As a Steel fabricator/ plater you will also be enhancing your skills. Working with complex structures and plate thicknesses that you may never have fabricated before. Working from engineers drawings and also the chance to learn total station.

These are permanent long term positions. It is exciting and rewarding work.

If you are a time served Steel fabricator /plater. Apprentice trained / NVQ 3.

Steel fabricator/ Platers must be competent and confident in working from technical drawings. Set jobs up, mark out for jigs. Able to use hand tools, use burning equipment. Be comfortable working on your own or part of a team.

These positions require you to adhere to all health & Safety practices at all times.

Correct PPE must be worn at all times.
