HealthJobs4U Ltd in Treharris, South Wales, invites an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the night team in a warm residential setting, supporting up to 24 residents with dignity and compassion.

The role focuses on safe, person-centred care overnight, supervising Care Assistants, administering medications where required, and maintaining accurate records. The position offers 36 hours weekly, permanent night shifts, ongoing training and clear opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience as a Senior Care Assistant or in a similar role.
• Medication administration experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills required.
• Night shift flexibility and commitment to ongoing care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the effective running of the night shift.
• Supervise and mentor Care Assistants.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care overnight.
• Administer and record medications safely where required.
• Support residents with personal care and overnight needs.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Promote dignity, choice and independence.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents and relatives.
