Job summary

DPD UK is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join the General Manager Security Central team at Hinckley. The role supports safeguarding employees and assets across the hub, delivering a high standard of security and customer service in a fast-paced operation.

You will work nights (21:00–07:00), with a permanent 47.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, at the Hinckley Hub 4 location. Training will be provided and there are opportunities for progression within a leading UK delivery company.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience preferred, training provided.
• Strong communication skills required for daily interactions.
• Good IT literacy with CCTV and visitor booking systems.
• Ability to create clear written reports and incident documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of building and assets.
• Write complete incident reports and take appropriate action.
• Investigate missing packages using CCTV and tracking systems.
• Work as part of a team to deliver security and customer service.
• Coordinate activities between contractors, employees and visitors.
• Liaise with emergency services and third-party organisations.
• Conduct tests of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Door Access and Shutter Security.
• Monitor CCTV, Access Control and thermal monitoring systems.
• Upload and maintain Facial Recognition system daily.
• Conduct Vehicle Gatehouse duties.
• Answer calls and support Security Supervisor.
• Manage airport-style search area and full staff/visitor searches.
• Carry out internal and external foot patrols.
• Provide incident support and management.
