Job summary

Oakminster Healthcare in Glasgow is recruiting a Night Shift Registered Nurse with a passion for person-centred care. The role leads clinical provision, mentors staff, and ensures high-quality health outcomes for our elderly residents, guided by current legislation, best practice, and patient needs.

You will engage in educating the team, overseeing nursing practice, and collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver holistic care and maintain safety and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• First Level Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration in a relevant clinical/teaching role.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Understanding of the legislative framework surrounding the provision of care services.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience in mentoring/coaching/training.
• Understanding of holistic, person-centred care principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, monitor, and promote the clinical provision of care for residents.
• Oversee mental and physical healthcare needs in line with legislation and policy.
• Educate care staff to meet uncomplicated health needs and identify higher health concerns.
• Supervise clinical practice of other registered nurses and provide guidance.
• Act as a consultant in areas of complex physical or mental health needs.
• Support staff and participate in outcome-based care planning.
• Coordinate with visiting multidisciplinary professionals and advocate for residents.
