Job summary

Birch Abbey in Southport is hiring a Registered General Nurse for night shifts (8pm–8am) on a 24, 36 or 48 hour rota. The role offers a £1500 welcome bonus and Real Living Wage premium pay for care workers.

You’ll lead the care team, deliver high-quality nursing care, and ensure residents receive person-centred support in a dementia-friendly home. Join a friendly team at Birch Abbey, where induction is fully paid, ongoing training is provided, and there are clear opportunities for development

Qualifications

• Are currently registered with the NMC (PIN).
• Have prior care home experience.
• Experience in medication administration and wound care.
• Knowledge of infection control and pressure area care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care.
• Advise, guide, and support the care team.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents’ nutritional needs and care plans.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and clinical records.
• Lead by example to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and families.
