Job summary

Job Advert in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Operative - Sorting & Quality Checking for night shifts in Kettering. Shifts run 10pm–6:30am, Monday to Friday, with handover 15 minutes before each shift. Pay is £14.61 per hour.

Responsibilities include cleaning production areas, carrying out routine quality checks, reporting defects, and maintaining production documentation while supporting the team. Health & safety procedures must be followed; physical manual handling is required.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG experience is desirable.
• Experience in a quality-focused environment would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Clean production areas, machinery and equipment to maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Carry out routine quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify and report product defects or quality issues.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Support production teams with general operational duties.
• Follow health & safety procedures and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Assist with manual handling and movement of materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work towards daily production targets as part of a team.
