Job summary

Osborne Appointments is seeking a Production Operative for sorting and quality checking in Kettering. Night shifts run from 22:00 to 06:30, Monday to Friday, with 15 minutes pre-shift handover. Pay is £14.61 per hour, with duties spanning cleaning, quality checks, documentation and team-based production support.

Applicants should have prior manufacturing or FMCG exposure, good attention to detail, and a reliable, physically fit attitude. Health & safety procedures must be followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG is desirable.
• Experience in a quality-focused environment would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning production areas, machinery and equipment to maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Carrying out routine quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identifying and reporting product defects or quality issues.
• Completing production and quality documentation accurately.
• Supporting production teams with general operational duties.
• Following health & safety procedures and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Assisting with manual handling and movement of materials.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working towards daily production targets as part of a team.
