Job summary

Extons Foods, a leading UK cheese processing company in Manchester, is seeking a Line Leader to manage a production line, mentor operators and ensure adherence to the quality manual and all company procedures. You will lead by example, coach your team and drive continuous improvement in line with customer and company requirements.

The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience, food processing knowledge, Level 2 health and safety qualifications, and a proactive, professional approach

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a manufacturing/food production environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and health and safety practices (Level 2).
• Willingness to train staff online, in classroom and on the job.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production on the line and monitor operatives for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality manual and company procedures.
• Lead training, coaching and mentoring of team members.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet production targets and specifications.
• Attend production meetings and communicate new requirements to staff.
