Job summary

Extons Foods in Manchester is seeking a Line Leader to oversee production on their line, ensuring safe, efficient operation and strict adherence to the Extons Quality manual.

You will coach and mentor a small team, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with other departments to meet customer and company requirements while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication and a positive, proactive attitude to lead by example.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food processing.
• Food safety and health and safety level 2 qualification.
• Willing to undertake ongoing training.
• Positive attitude and proactive approach.
• Professional, respectful communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead production on the assigned line and ensure 100% adherence to quality manual.
• Coach and mentor team to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Monitor operatives to maintain production targets and standards.
• Communicate new requirements and procedures to staff.
• Attend production meetings and contribute ideas.
