Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication processes including bending, grinding, welding, or related manufacturing tasks.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.
• Knowledge of safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong math skills for precise adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Set up press brake machines by selecting tooling and programming the machine from drawings and specifications.
• Operate press brakes to produce accurate bends in sheet metal and maintain quality standards.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality, adjusting as needed.
• Use calipers, protractors and tape measures to verify part specifications and tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with tooling changes, adjustments and routine maintenance to optimise performance.
• Support assembly by preparing bent components for further fabrication or installation.
