Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for part-time night shifts at St. Marys Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO. The role supports the patient care team, performs basic care tasks, and may assume Health Unit Coordinator duties as needed.

Requirements include Colorado CNA certification and BLS. The position includes 24 weekly hours with a 6:00 pm–6:30 am shift and opportunities to collaborate across disciplines in a postpartum unit.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Colorado.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care (toileting, bathing, mobility, comfort) and respond to patient/family requests.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly and seek qualified assistance as needed.
• May perform telemetry duties and act as patient care attendant on the unit.
• Transport medications to the RN as required on the clinical unit.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator duties (phones, orders, unit records, supplies).
• Implement delegated plan of care and perform tasks within Scope of Practice.
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety policies and emergency procedures.
