Job summary

Freightliner is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative (Nights) at our Southampton yard to load and unload HGVs, shunt containers and operate lifting equipment. You will work on a rotating schedule from 6pm to 4am or 8pm to 6am, 50 hours per week, with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• Holder of full UK driving licence.
• Deep understanding of the importance of health and safety and a commitment to a safe approach to all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Service vehicles with the correct containers and in a timely manner.
• Stack shipping containers.
• Ensure containers are shunted to and from terminal in a timely manner.
• Operate container handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicate with yard team and container controllers to ensure accurate timing and availability.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
