Job summary

Zest is seeking a Night Shift Multi-Skilled Engineer to maintain reliability on a fast‑paced, high‑speed manufacturing site in Norfolk. The role covers 12‑hour nights, focusing on reducing downtime and keeping production targets on track.

You will have an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, with strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills and experience in FMCG environments. PLC fault‑finding is advantageous and a proactive, calm approach under pressure is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience in FMCG or high‑volume manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment.
• Support production teams to resolve breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Work on automated FMCG processing and packaging machinery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure site standards compliance.
