Job summary

Smart Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Multi Skilled Machine Operative to operate a range of mobile plant in a busy waste processing environment, with 17:00–04:00 night shifts and a 1-hour unpaid break.

You will handle 360 Material Handlers and Metso shredder, keep the site safe and efficient, perform daily checks, and work on a rotating weekend schedule. This hands-on role rewards reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating 360 Material Handlers or similar mobile plant.
• Safe, reliable and punctual in a busy industrial environment.
• Willing to work night shifts and weekends on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Feed in-feed materials to the Metso shredder to maximise production.
• Identify unsuitable or damaging materials before shredding.
• Carry out routine daily maintenance checks on plant.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of the cab and machinery.
• Assist with blockages and safe clearance as required.
