Job summary

CLdN is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for nights at our Killingholme terminal. You will repair, maintain and service heavy mobile plant including RoRo tractors, reach stackers and RTGs, ensuring safety and efficiency through night operations.

The role requires a time-served or NVQ Level 3 mechanical background with experience on port equipment, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach. Night shifts from 19:00 to 06:00 are required, with strong emphasis on compliance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Time-served or NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical.
• Experience maintaining heavy mobile plant (forklifts, reachstackers, RoRo tractors, RTGs).
• Willing and able to work permanent night shifts.
• Comfortable liaising with terminal managers, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, service and clean all mobile plant and terminal equipment.
• Work night shift to meet operational demand.
• Produce high-quality repairs with proper procedures and safety.
• Assist with procurement of spare parts and consumables for Engineering/Terminal divisions.
• Maintain accurate service records and use company systems for parts and service activities.
