Job summary

Distinct Consultancy Group are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing site in Millerdale. The role covers hands-on maintenance across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems within a small engineering team.

The successful candidate will be apprentice trained or time-served, with experience in PPM and breakdown maintenance and a focus on Right First Time. Fixed night shift, 4 on/4 off, 6:00pm–6:00am, 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or time-served with Level 3 qualification.
• Experienced in manufacturing/FMCG environments.
• Strong mechanical skills with electrical and pneumatic knowledge.
• Experience in both PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Confident fault finder with root-cause focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across all production equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to prevent repeat breakdowns.
• Provide front-line engineering support to manufacturing and production teams.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using company systems.
• Support continuous improvement projects with the engineering team.
