Job summary

Pertemps Northampton is seeking a Nightshift Manufacturing Operative for a client facility in Desborough. The role focuses on safe, efficient machine operation and maintaining high-quality output on a night shift.

Induction includes drug/alcohol testing and adherence to PPE and safety rules. We require proven manufacturing or machine operating experience, reliability on a fixed night pattern (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Mon night to Sat morning), and the ability to work both independently and as part of

Qualifications

• Experience in a Manufacturing or Machine Operating environment required.
• Night shift experience and reliability essential.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform some manual handling.
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing during induction.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery according to SOPs.
• Meet daily production targets through feeding and process control.
• Perform visual and physical quality checks on products to ensure standards.
• Strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations and PPE.
• Report machine faults or issues to Shift Supervisor promptly.
• Complete production logs and shift handover reports accurately.
