Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for Night Shift Machine Operators in Telford, with a 6:00pm–6:00am, 4 on/4 off pattern. You will operate and monitor production machinery, perform quality checks, and ensure products meet customer specifications in a busy food manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates are proactive, reliable, and ready to learn. On-site aptitude testing is required, with full training provided and long-term progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Night Shift Machine Operator

Location: Telford - Hortonwood

Pay: £15.54 per hour

Shift Pattern: 6:00pm - 6:00am | 4 on, 4 off rotational shift pattern

The Role

Working within a fast-paced production department, your duties will include:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery
• Carrying out quality checks
• Ensuring products meet customer specifications
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Completing production paperwork accurately
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working as part of a team to achieve production targets
• Learning production processes and machine operations
• Assisting with machine changeovers and basic troubleshooting

What We're Looking For

• A switched-on and proactive approach to work
• Keen and willing to learn new skills
• Ability to work permanent night shifts
• Available to work weekends as part of the 4 on, 4 off rota
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Able to attend and successfully complete an aptitude test on-site before employment

This role involves a significant amount of training and learning about both the manufacturing process and the machinery used within the department. Therefore, candidates with previous experience as a Machine Setter, Machine Operator, or within a similar technical manufacturing role would be highly desirable.
