Job summary
Enva is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to lead overnight operations at our Colwick facility. You will supervise a team of operatives, ensure safe, efficient processing of recyclables, and uphold production targets with a strong emphasis on safety and quality during the night shift.
You will coordinate with maintenance and management, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance across the shift.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising teams in industrial/manufacturing/recycling or waste environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and supervise a team of operatives, allocating work and providing coaching and support.
- Carry out safety briefings, ensure PPE usage and report hazards.
- Monitor plant performance and coordinate with maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Oversee sorting and processing of recyclables, ensure quality and minimise contamination.
- Maintain housekeeping to keep a safe and efficient working environment.
- Record shift performance, production figures, incidents and equipment issues with clear handovers.
- Monitor productivity and recovery rates to drive efficiency and team performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental requirements and procedures.
