Job summary

Panda is seeking a Nightshift Manager at our Caythorpe site to lead operations through the night, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. You’ll be the senior on site, directing a team and resolving issues to keep RDF/SRF production on track.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong health and safety knowledge, and the ability to make decisions independently during night shifts. Training and coaching will support team performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory roles in waste/recycling or heavy industry.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and compliance focus.
• Ability to make independent decisions during night shifts.
• Hands-on approach to solving operational issues.
• Ability to manage performance, attendance and standards.
• Strong handover and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational control of the site during the nightshift.
• Ensure waste streams are processed safely and efficiently.
• Deliver RDF and SRF targets while minimising downtime.
• Manage labour, plant and resources to meet demands.
• Lead nightshift team and conduct performance coaching.
• Deliver clear handovers to day shift management.
• Oversee maintenance coordination and fault reporting.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.
