Job summary

5S Recruitment is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter / Operator for a permanent night shift in Leicestershire. You will set and operate Arburg/Krauss Maffei machines (50–420t), perform tool changes, respond to alarms and ensure components meet quality specs.

You will support the Night Shift Team Leader, assist with production priorities and help maintain a safe, efficient operation on the nights team of five.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting and operating plastic injection moulding machines.
• Good understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling and machine operation.
• Experience with tool changes, start-ups and basic process adjustments.
• Ability to identify and resolve moulding faults and respond to alarms.
• Experience in quality inspections and accurate production data recording.
• Independent, reliable and safety-conscious with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work fixed permanent night shift.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and monitor injection moulding machines per production schedules and tool settings.
• Carry out tool changes, machine start-ups and process adjustments to maintain efficiency.
• Identify and rectify processing faults and respond to machine alarms promptly.
• Set up and operate ancillary equipment and secondary operations machinery.
• Monitor cycle times and production output to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment per procedures.
• Work with the Night Shift Team Leader to meet daily targets and priorities.
• Provide cover for leadership during periods of absence and coordinate small night shift team.
