Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus in Manchester is recruiting a Night Shift Technician to join our workshop on a full-time permanent basis. You will work on HGVs, interpreting repair orders and following manufacturers' instructions while maintaining a safe, tidy workstation.

The role requires an apprenticeship, experience in a similar position, and fluent English. A competitive salary with bonus benefits is offered, along with health care and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Valid work permit.
• Computer skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the truck industry.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order and comply with repair instructions and tolerances from manuals and bulletins.
• Attend training and keep up-to-date with the latest technical information.
• Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out and raise any further work or faults.
• Protect and maintain tools and equipment and return them after use.
• Report any loss, damage or malfunction of tools or equipment.
• Protect and take care of customers and the company’s property.
• Keep allocated work areas clean and tidy and clear scrap after repairs.
• Provide information, maintain records and carry out duties accurately and efficiently.
• Undertake other tasks as required.
• Enhance the company image and support its commercial interests.
• Comply with health and safety, statutory requirements and policies.
