Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van is the leading Mercedes-Benz distributor in the UK, operating from ten Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire and East England dealerships. The role covers diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Heavy Goods Vehicles to a high standard, with night shifts and a daily shift allowance.

You will work with a team to ensure safe, compliant vehicle maintenance and a seamless customer experience, maintaining thorough records and supporting workshop operations.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Heavy Goods Vehicles to high quality and safety standards.
• Perform inspections, routine maintenance and repairs on truck models, motor vehicles and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain thorough records of work and parts used for traceability.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workshop operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Heavy Goods Vehicles to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs on various truck models; troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional service delivery.
• Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used; maintain documentation.
• Ensure tools and workshop facilities are safe, clean, and properly maintained.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
