Job summary

NMS Recruit is seeking an experienced HGV Night Shift Technician in Sittingbourne, UK. You will service, diagnose and repair a range of commercial vehicles in a modern workshop, working night shifts with a daily £30 allowance.

The role requires independence, accuracy and efficient fault diagnosis to uphold high safety and workmanship standards. Benefits include a competitive hourly rate, a night shift allowance, and a bonus scheme with OTE additional earnings.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose faults with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on commercial vehicles.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify vehicle faults.
• Complete scheduled safety inspections and identify additional repairs.
• Repair and replace faulty components and vehicle parts.
• Work on mechanical, electrical and vehicle subsystem faults.
• Follow the repair process from initial fault diagnosis to completion.
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and within timescales.
• Support other Technicians within the workshop.
