Job summary

Caledonian Automotive Recruitment seeks an experienced HGV Technician for night shifts in Purfleet, Essex, on a 4-day week. The role pays £30 per hour with overtime at 1.5x. You will service, maintain and repair HGVs and trailers, diagnose faults, and ensure safety standards are met.

Applicants should have IMI Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent, with strong documentation and compliance skills. Rotating shifts and good pension/benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing HGVs and trailers.
• Qualified to IMI Level 3/NVQ3/City & Guilds.
• Ability to complete maintenance records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and comply with safety requirements.
• Carry out repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Complete maintenance records and paperwork accurately.
