Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Flat Bed Driver to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role involves night shifts, safe load securing, and maintaining compliance with tachograph rules.

You will drive a night route, perform daily vehicle checks, complete paperwork accurately, and work with our recruitment team to transition to permanent employment with long‑term career prospects.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Flat bed driving experience preferred.
• Experience using load restraint equipment advantageous.
• Good understanding of UK driving regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 flat bed vehicle on scheduled night shifts.
• Safely secure and transport loads in line with legal requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and on time.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and comply with tachograph and driver hours regulations.
