Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Flat Bed Driver for a night-shift role on a temp-to-perm basis. The position offers £18.50 per hour with weekly pay during the temporary period and long-term career prospects with a reputable team.

You will be responsible for driving a Class 1 flat bed, securing loads, performing daily vehicle checks, and ensuring deliveries and collections are completed on time.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous flat bed driving experience preferred.
• Experience using load restraint equipment advantageous.
• Good understanding of UK driving regulations.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 1 flat bed vehicle on scheduled night shifts.
• Safely securing and transporting loads in line with company and legal requirements.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and on time.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and complying with tachograph and driver hours regulations.
