Job summary

Victorian Plumbing seeks a proactive Warehouse Health & Safety Assistant for our Leyland, Lancashire site. You will help develop and maintain health & safety policies, train staff, and ensure a safe working environment during night shifts (20:00–04:30).

The role is full-time (40 hrs) with a competitive salary and night premium. Your tasks include risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and maintaining safety records while supporting compliance with legal standards and company

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Meticulous eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
• NEBOSH General Certificate highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining health and safety documentation (risk assessments, method statements, incident reports).
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse and equipment.
• Provide training and guidance on health and safety matters.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and help implement preventative measures.
• Support health and safety compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
• Assist in implementing health and safety initiatives and campaigns.
• Maintain accurate health and safety data and statistics.
• Participate in health and safety meetings and committees.
