James Brown Funeral Directors, part of Funeral Partners, is seeking a compassionate Out of Hours Funeral Service Operative for overnight on-call work on Saturdays and Sundays. This role focuses on bringing loved ones into care when death occurs out of hours, with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.

You will be the first point of contact for families, drive company vehicles with a full UK licence, and receive standby pay of £35.39 per night plus a removal fee of £38 per call-out attended.

Responsibilities

• Responding to out-of-hours calls when required
• Bringing the deceased into our care with dignity and respect
• Supporting families in a calm, compassionate, and professional manner
• Driving company vehicles (full UK licence required)
• Ensuring all procedures are carried out sensitively and in line with company standards
