Job summary

Pure's Central Kitchen is a fast-paced, high-volume operation delivering fresh food to retail and wholesale partners. We are seeking a Night Shift Food Production Manager to own overnight production and lead the team with a strong focus on quality, compliance and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in food production management, experience in SALSA/BRC environments, and can work independently on night shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in food production management or central kitchen leadership.
• Experience in SALSA or BRC-accredited environments is highly desirable.
• Independent decision-making with strong planning and documentation skills.
• Solid understanding of food safety legislation and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the Central Kitchen overnight, acting as the senior on site.
• Lead and manage all night production to deliver safe, high-quality products on time.
• Ensure orders are produced, labelled, packed and ready for morning dispatch.
• Maintain SALSA standards and food safety policies (HACCP, COSHH).
• Document production following clear standard operating procedures.
• Coach and motivate the night team with accountability and structure.
• Plan and manage the overnight production schedule and adapt to demand.
• Run clear handovers with the day team to avoid gaps.
• Monitor stock levels, support ordering and reduce waste.
• Resolve operational issues on the spot and escalate where needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and food safety excellence across the night operation.
