Job summary

We are recruiting for an experienced Cookhouse Lead - Nights to join a Food Production Company and drive the night shift in the cookhouse. You will lead daily production, safety, quality and performance to ensure targets are met.

You will report to the Cookhouse Team Leader and oversee GMP, food safety and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role requires strong leadership and a passion for developing people.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a frontline team in food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GMP and quality standards
• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily night Cookhouse operation to meet production plans safely and on time
• Provide visible frontline leadership and set clear performance expectations
• Ensure GMP, food safety and quality standards are consistently applied
• Give constructive feedback and address performance or standards issues promptly
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and productivity
• Coach and develop team members to build capability and confidence
• Drive improvements in quality and food safety by root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with Cookhouse Team Leader and stakeholders for effective coordination
• Optimize use of people, equipment and resources to hit KPIs
• Promote a positive and high-performing team culture
• Contribute to a safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing environment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times
