Job summary

G's Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Night Shift Engineering Team Leader to supervise the night crew, keep production moving and deliver reliable maintenance. This hands‑on leadership role focuses on equipment uptime, safety and continuous improvement.

You will lead a team of engineers on the 18:00–06:00 4-on/4-off shift, perform fault finding, coordinate maintenance, and drive PPMs with CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• Supervisory/Team Leader experience in engineering.
• Apprenticeship or NVQ/HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, or multi-skilled engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food production.
• Strong fault-finding in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiar with CMMS and engineering records management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the night shift engineering team.
• Provide hands-on maintenance support for production equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and breakdown responses.
• Perform fault-finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis.
• Drive planned preventive maintenance to maximise uptime.
• Support continuous improvement projects for efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS.
