Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced Night Shift Engineer (Electrical biased) for a leading manufacturing group based in Diss, Norfolk. The role offers a permanent night shift (10pm-6am) with Monday to Friday hours and an early finish on Fridays.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a manufacturing setting, electrical qualifications, a multi-skilled profile, and experience with PLCs, VSDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Attractive benefits accompany the package.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications and multi-skilled engineering capability.
• At least 5 years experience outside of apprenticeship.
• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3+ or higher.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• SAP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all reactive and scheduled maintenance on production machinery.
• Support breakdowns with shift engineers on production lines.
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Deal with high-speed production, processing & packaging machinery.
• PLC, automation, control systems, VSDs, AC Drives.
• Electrical safety, LOTO, isolation.
• Installation & commissioning of new machinery.

Do you want to work for a leading manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to engineering departmental growth, they are looking for an experienced electrical biased maintenance engineer, to work on their night shift.

Role & Responsibilities of the Night Shift Engineer:

• Maintain all reactive and schedule maintenance on production machinery
• Working alongside and supported by shift engineers for breakdowns on production lines
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Dealing with high-speed production, processing & packaging machinery
• PLC's, automation, control systems, VSD's, AC Drives
• Electrical safety, LOTO, isolation
• Installation & commissioning of new machinery

Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be the Night Shift Engineer:

• Looking for a multi-skilled engineer – electrically biased
• Must have electrical qualifications
• At least 5 years experience outside of apprenticeship
• Ideally have competed a formal apprenticeship scheme
• NVQ or City Guilds qualified to level 3 or higher
• Must have worked in some form of manufacturing environment
• Computer literate – able to use SAP systems
• Experience of working with hydraulics, pneumatics, VSD's, power transmission drive systems
• PLC – electrical fault finding skills
• Steam systems experience would be beneficial
