Job summary

Ambitions Personnel is recruiting for a Cutting Room Operative to support a well-established manufacturing company during a busy peak period. The role involves operating cutting machinery, following procedures, and maintaining high quality and safety standards on night shifts (Mon-Thu, 7:30pm-5:30am).

Ideal candidates will have manufacturing or production experience, familiarity with machinery, and a proactive, reliable mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience operating machinery or equipment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• The ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• A strong awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• A reliable, hardworking and proactive attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to attend training during the day before moving onto night shifts.
• The ability to commit to the full temporary assignment and required shift pattern.
• Previous cutting room or industrial cutting machinery experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting machinery safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Follow production instructions and operating procedures.
• Ensure materials are cut accurately to the required specifications.
• Carry out quality checks and report any issues or defects.
• Handle materials and prepare them for processing.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Meet production requirements while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Attend training sessions prior to the start of the assignment.
