Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking a Customer Assistant on nights to help keep the store well stocked and operating smoothly. You’ll work at a steady pace, stock shelves, and ensure aisles and displays are clean and ready for customers the next day.

You’ll use handheld scanners and digital tools, move stock safely from warehouse to shopfloor, and support colleagues across zones including chilled and frozen areas. Training is provided for checkout duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach with a friendly attitude and willingness to help customers
• Able to work in a busy store environment and adapt to changing tasks
• Willingness to learn and use new digital tools and systems

Responsibilities

• Get the store ready for the day by stocking shelves and maintaining a clean, tidy workspace
• Keep aisles clean, presentable and safe for customers
• Move stock from warehouse to shopfloor using appropriate equipment
• Work across different store areas including chilled and frozen sections
• Use equipment and digital systems accurately and safely
• Support other areas when needed, including online order picking or serving customers at checkouts after training
