Sainsbury's in the United Kingdom is hiring a Customer Assistant on nights to help run stores smoothly while delivering great service to customers. You’ll contribute to keeping shelves stocked, maintain a clean workspace, and work with the team across different store areas.

This role requires energy, resilience and a hands-on approach in a physically demanding environment. You’ll learn to use store digital tools and handsets, support online orders, and help at checkouts when trained.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 or older and have Right to Work in the UK.
• Willingness to work nights in a physically demanding role.
• Committed team player who supports colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
• Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you're trained and confident
