Job summary

Food Production Company in Leigh is seeking an experienced Cookhouse Lead to drive day-to-day operations, ensure safety, quality and efficiency, and uphold GMP standards across the team. Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a team leader or frontline supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety and quality standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and solve problems proactively.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily Cookhouse operations to meet plans safely and on time.
• Provide visible frontline leadership with clear expectations and accountability.
• Ensure GMP requirements are understood and followed across the team.
• Provide constructive feedback and address performance or standards issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, productivity and operational performance.
• Coach, develop and support team members to build skills and confidence.
• Drive improvements in quality and food safety by addressing repeat issues and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with the Cookhouse Team Leader and stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
• Support the use of people, equipment and resources to achieve production targets and KPIs.
