Job summary

Matchtech in Poole is recruiting a CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator for a busy precision engineering environment on a night shift. You will set and operate FANUC-controlled CNC mills and lathes to produce parts to drawings and specs, with a focus on tight tolerances and Aerospace/precision standards.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, strong self-inspection, and adherence to 5S/5C.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC Mill/Turn setting and operating experience (FANUC).
• Time served apprenticeship (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
• Background in aerospace/precision engineering standards and quality expectations.
• Confidence self inspecting and working to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines (FANUC).
• Producing parts to drawing, tolerance and specification.
• Inspecting your own work to drawing and SPC requirements.
• Keeping your area to a high 5S / 5C standard.
