Job summary

Multimatic in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator (Turning) to join the night shift. You will set up and run turning centres, select tooling, set offsets and prove out new and existing jobs, ensuring parts meet drawings and customer specs.

You will perform first-off and in-process checks using precision equipment, troubleshoot alarms and collaborate with production and engineering to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and running CNC turning centres in a production environment.
• Ability to select tooling, set offsets, prepare work holding and prove out jobs.
• Experience producing components to engineering drawings and customer specs.
• Proficient in first-off and in-process inspections with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong problem solving and reaction to machine alarms to maintain output.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning centres in a fast-paced production environment.
• Selecting tooling, setting offsets, preparing work holding, and safely proving out new and existing jobs.
• Producing components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Performing first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshooting machining issues, responding to machine alarms, and maintaining production output.
• Working closely with the production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and workplace safety.
