Job summary

Silcoms II Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Nights CNC Machinist to join our Nights Precision Machining team. You will set up, program and operate CNC machinery to manufacture high-precision aerospace components to exacting standards.

This night-shift role includes a night shift allowance. You will work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams, reading drawings, selecting tooling, and completing quality documentation to uphold aerospace standards.

Qualifications

Experience operating and programming CNC machinery in precision engineering.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
Experience machining aerospace or similarly regulated components.
Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

Setting up, programming and operating CNC machines to produce precision-engineered components.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and CNC programs.
Selecting tooling, fixtures, speeds and feeds for efficient machining.
Editing CNC programs and adjusting offsets where required.
Carrying out self-inspection using precision measuring equipment.
Completing quality documentation and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
Diagnosing machining issues and supporting continuous improvement.
Working with Engineering, Production and Quality teams in a safe environment.
