Job summary

Ritchie Bros. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Vehicle Collection Driver Class 1 to collect accident damaged vehicles from client locations using salvage/recovery trucks. You will ensure safe loading and unloading, and accuracy in height measurements for regulatory compliance.

You will load, secure, and transport vehicles, maintain safety standards, and communicate professionally with customers. Training is provided, with benefits including 28 days holiday and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are essential.
• Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience.
• Recovery or car transporter experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are important.
• Safety‑first mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect allocated vehicles from client and user locations.
• Load, secure, and unload vehicles safely.
• Follow all legal and company driving regulations.
• Measure and record vehicle heights before each journey.
