Job summary

Alliance Healthcare in the UK is seeking a part-time Class 1 Driver with shunting duties for the South Normanton site. You will deliver to UK destinations from the distribution centre, working Fridays and Saturdays with early start times.

Role requires 2+ years Class 1 experience, GDP knowledge, NVQ Level 2, and a professional, customer-focused approach to ensure safe, accurate deliveries and compliance with welfare and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
• Excellent customer care and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Smart appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a flexible approach to work.
• NVQ Level 2 and a sound knowledge of GDP.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods promptly and safely, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays or issues.
• Complete documentation accurately, including proof of deliveries and returns.
• Maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness and road safety, adhering to speed limits and traffic regulations.
• Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and manage secure loading practices.
• Report any risks, incidents, or temperature excursions as they arise.
