Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Crewe is recruiting for drivers on the night shift with a 5 on, 3 off pattern. You will complete vehicle checks, deliver goods across Cheshire, and assist with yard movements, ensuring loads are secured and compliant with driver hours rules.

We offer weekly pay at £20 per hour, 29 days of holiday, funded training, and a broad benefits package including pension, life assurance, and employee support services.

Qualifications

• CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries and collaborate with the Boughey team on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift – complying with all HGV driving rules and ensuring no unnecessary damage to vehicles.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading/unloading positions; secure loads; assist in yard work with handball or pump truck as required.
