Job summary

Boughey Distribution is seeking a Class 1 Driver Nights in Warrington to operate on a 5 on, 3 off night pattern. You will perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks and ensure timely deliveries across Cheshire, while adhering to driver hours rules.

Essentially you must hold a Cat C&E license, CPC and tachograph card with experience in Class 1 vehicles, plus excellent communication to liaise with customers and Boughey teams on site.

Qualifications

• A valid category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries at delivery and collaborate with Boughey on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift, complying with all HGV driving rules to prevent vehicle damage.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading/unloading positions, secure loads, and assist in yard with handball or pump truck deliveries where required.
