Nocturnal Recruitment are seeking experienced Care Home Support Workers to assist adults with learning disabilities in a West London care home and surrounding community. You will promote independence, build confidence, and encourage participation in meaningful activities.

Role requires supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, autism/ASD and challenging behaviour, including physical and verbal aggression. Personal care and DBS check are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, sensory impairments, autism/ASD and challenging behaviour.
• Willingness to provide personal care.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or within the last 12 months.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, moving and handling and positive behaviour support.
• Up-to-date mandatory training or willingness to complete training.

Aufgaben

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, sensory impairments, autism/ASD and challenging behaviour, including physical and verbal aggression.
• Support individuals to access a variety of on-site and community-based activities.
• Promote independence, confidence and life skills through meaningful engagement.
• Encourage participation in arts, music, gardening, sports, sensory activities and other structured programmes.
• Support service users with community outings including swimming, museums, galleries, bowling and other leisure activities.
• Assist individuals when arriving and leaving the care home, including support with transport transfers where required.
• Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner where required.
• Maintain accurate daily records and report any safeguarding or welfare concerns.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
