Job summary

Integral UK Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking a skilled Night Shift Engineer to ensure smooth operation of building systems during night hours and to monitor and respond to alarms per client procedures.

You will lead incident response for MEP/Fire systems, monitor Schneider Electric DCE alarms, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with day shift teams to ensure seamless handover and reliability of site operations.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical, mechanical or building services engineering.
• Experience in a similar night-shift role.
• Strong knowledge of BMS, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Experience with CMMS.
• Willingness to work nights and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response for MEP/Fire systems during night shifts.
• Monitor building systems via Schneider Electric DCE and respond to alarms.
• Maintain and monitor BMS, HVAC, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls and diagnose issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs.
• Inspect building systems and logs of maintenance activities.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with day shift for smooth handover.
• Contribute to energy-saving initiatives and sustainability.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Suggest continuous improvements.
