Job summary

MET Recruitment UK LTD is seeking an experienced Night Shift Injection Mould Setter for a Cannock-based role. The position is 40–48 hours weekly with Sunday-Wednesday and Thursday night shifts, offering £14.50 per hour plus £2 night shift allowance.

You will set, adjust, and optimise injection moulding machines, complete mould changes, monitor quality, troubleshoot faults, and support night-shift operators while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting injection moulding machines is essential.
• IMT Level 3 Setter qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Some supervisory or team-leading experience would be beneficial, but not the main focus.
• Good problem-solving skills and a quality-focused approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently on night shift.

Responsibilities

• Set, adjust and optimise injection moulding machines to achieve efficient, high-quality production.
• Carry out mould changes and process adjustments to minimise downtime.
• Monitor product quality and resolve any process or quality issues.
• Troubleshoot machine faults and elevate engineering issues where necessary.
• Complete production and shift documentation accurately.
• Support continuous improvement by helping reduce scrap, downtime and cycle times.
• Assist with training and supporting operators on shift.
• Help ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Act as the main point of contact on nights when required.
