Job summary

Cathay Care Home is seeking a Night Senior Nurse to lead the clinical and operational delivery during night shifts. You will oversee the team, manage medication processes and ensure care aligns with individual plans and regulatory standards.

This senior role requires strong leadership, decisive judgment, and the ability to drive high standards of care while supporting staff development and maintaining a calm, well-organised night service.

Qualifications

• Active NMC PIN required.
• Strong clinical leadership and decision-making skills.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Confidence managing a shift independently.

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for clinical and operational delivery during night shifts.
• Lead and coordinate the team, oversee clinical practice and medication processes.
• Ensure care is delivered in line with care plans, standards and best practice.
• Collaborate with Home Manager and wider team to support staff development and a professional environment.
• Take charge of the service out of hours, ensuring safe operation at all times.
